Description
A very unusual pair of Staffordshire spill vases modelled as foxes in a pastoral setting holding a bird in its mouth, standing on an oval base.Measures
Height 22.5 cms
Width 15.5 cms
Depth 7 cms
Condition
Slight rubbing of enamelled colours here and there, tiny bit missing on one of the ears, old mid fired section in the back base of one, all original.
Featured in 'Victorian Staffordshire Figures 1835-1875' Book 3, by A.& N. Harding, page 268, figure a2964A.
