A large Japanese satsuma vase on stand the vase of globular hexagonal form, heavily painted and decorated with scenes detailing samurai, foliate and floral borders, flanked by applied stylised phoenix, the pierced stand with matching finely detailed decoration over six supports in the form of beast's mask and legs.
